Brenda is the state Director of the Oklahoma Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (OK-LSAMP) program and the Bridge to the Doctorate program since 2016. The OK-LSAMP program is a consortium of 12 Oklahoma colleges and universities in which Brenda oversees the day-to-day and long-term activities associated with the NSF grants. Having received her B.S. degree from the University of Texas Pan-American, which led her to Oklahoma State University through a National Science Foundation - Research Experience for Undergraduates (NSF - REU) internship. Having worked more than 13 years in Higher Education, Brenda loves using her experience and expertise to mentor scholars towards achieving their bachelor and graduate degree goals.
